The Founders Assembly of the German Design Council recently decided to extend the scope of its membership. Interstuhl is one of a total of seven new foundation members.

The German Design Council was launched in 1953 by a resolution of the German Parliament to meet the growing demand by industry for information on the subject of design. Today, the institution is one of the world's leading centres of competence for communication and knowledge transfer in the field of design.
