An intact environment is the most important basis for future-oriented thinking. When it comes to environmentally friendly production and responsible handling of natural resources, we have always led the way. Protecting Earth's ecosystems is a fundamental part of our corporate philosophy. Our processes are constantly being reviewed and developed – just like our products. And that's why 98% of the materials in the HEJ products can be recycled once they reach the end of their useful life.

Sustainability
The Blue Angel is the most widely known certification mark in the world. For 40 years now, the Environmental Label Jury, the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, the German Federal Environmental Agency and RAL gGmbH have been distinguishing products and services that are particularly environmentally friendly. The LGA test mark 'Tested for harmful substances' has been awarded by TÜV Rheinland since 2007. Only products that perfectly meet the high re-quirements for emissions and hazardous substances are awarded this certifi-cation. After the inspection, the final products are also sampled randomly to ensure long-term compliance with the criteria. LEVEL is the first European certification for sustainability in office and non-domestic furniture for indoor use. The certification takes into account Euro-pean legislation, Green Public Procurement and the EU Circular Economy package. The focus lies on 'Materials', 'Energy & Atmosphere', 'Human & Ecosystem Health' and 'Social Responsibility'.

The TÜV Rheinland label stands for quality and safety for people, technology and the environment. Independent experts test products from all sectors in terms of efficiency, satisfaction and ergonomics - and their ease of use. This provides an important aid to help customers decide on which product to select.
