The 'Tested for harmful substances' certification is awarded by TÜV Rhein-land and confirms that our products are tested and regularly monitored to ensure they contain only harmless levels of emissions and hazardous sub-stances. The basis for testing are the strict requirements of the emissions guidelines for upholstered furniture (2 PfG S 0121/03.13).
The TÜV Rheinland label stands for quality and safety for people, technology and the environment. Independent experts test products from all sectors in terms of efficiency, satisfaction and ergonomics - and their ease of use. This provides an important aid to help customers decide on which product to select.

MONOIS1 DESIGNER

"Form follows structure" was the guiding principle for a design that is reserved rather than extraordianary and which bows to the demands of everyday life. It is quite the challenge to design a chair that is manufactured from a single cast, modern, useful and elegant in any environment – a traditional chair that still fits perfectly into our world today.

At first glance, MONO is reminiscent of a traditional four-legged chair, no different from those that have been around for decades. It picks up this typology and utilises clever transitions of forms and edges to develop it further into a solitary object. The static logic is the result of skilled interactions between rigid planes and finely sculpted cross sections. This allows for a very sparing use of materials. With the MONO design, we have managed to create a link between the dynamic history of chair design and our modern times. It is not simply an object of utility, but a modern, sculptural object manufactured from a single cast.

Sustainability

WE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

Working and living conditions form an inseparable entity for us. We therefore see it as our task to be active players in keeping the balance in the world: Social, economic, cultural and ecological. We want to leave our children and grandchildren with an environment that is economically, ecologically and socially intact. To do this, we work with children, youths and elderly people as well as those with disabilities.
The Blue Angel is the most widely known certification mark in the world. For 40 years now, the Environmental Label Jury, the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, the German Federal Environmental Agency and RAL gGmbH have been distinguishing products and services that are particularly environmentally friendly. The LGA test mark 'Tested for harmful substances' has been awarded by TÜV Rheinland since 2007. Only products that perfectly meet the high re-quirements for emissions and hazardous substances are awarded this certifi-cation. After the inspection, the final products are also sampled randomly to ensure long-term compliance with the criteria.
