The Interstuhl trail offers an open invitation to explore and discover more about different aspects of sitting. The inspiration for the project came from right outside the gates of the company headquarters: from the awe-inspiring natural beauty of the landscape around Tieringen and from the aspiration to think beyond the chair, the office or the factory.

As you follow the trail, you will experience an exhilarating interplay between stillness and movement, excitement and relaxation ? not only as you stand and walk but also as you try out the unusual seating opportunities provided en route. They are strategically placed like sculptural signposts, marking the most breathtaking viewpoints and just waiting to be discovered and tried out. Craftsmen from around the region as well as international architects and designers were involved in the conception and creation of the trail.
