Diversity
Whether you want a mesh or upholstered backrest, a conference swivel chair with a rocking mechanism, a four-legged or cantilever chair, a white or black frame, or a different colour or covering material, the decision is entirely yours. The intelligent BUDDY system means you'll find the right solution.
Flexibility
BUDDY models offer great versatility thanks to their intuitive use, lightweight construction and recessed grip integrated in the backrest. This allows the room seating to be quickly altered if necessary. The BUDDY is highly versatile, and includes stackable four-legged and cantilever chairs.
Stackability
Up to four BUDDY cantilever or four-legged visitor chairs (with or without armrests), and up to six of the upholstered four-legged models can be stacked. This allows the chairs to be stored efficiently and new room layouts to be quickly set up and dismantled.
Conference swivel chair
A particular highlight of the BUDDY collection is the conference swivel chair.Equipped with a high-quality and functional rocking mechanism, it offers complete freedom of movement for any type of exchange. The infinitely variable seat height adjustment allows users to select their optimal setting, and the base, which sits on castors or glides, is as flexible and manoeuvrable as the user requires.

Not all plastics are created equal. Interstuhl uses materials that possess high flexibility. Due to this, the plastic elements keep people moving even while they are sitting down. The plastics used boast high-grade surfaces, durability and are colour-fast and non-fading. Depending on the product, different colours can also be selected for frames, bases and seat shells, for example. This further increases the variability in the product design.
The upholstery in our products is made of foam manufactured at our foaming facility and has a particularly high density. In this way, we can ensure that it remains comfortable for years to come. Depending on the product, you can choose between a wide range of different covers, such as fabrics, synthetic leather and real leather in different colours. The materials differ in terms of their characteristics, such as the look and feel, yet all of them meet the high demands on quality and durability, and they pose no risk to health or the environment.
At Interstuhl, an extremely wide range of robust metals are processed and are used for different parts, depending on the product. Robust tubular steel is used for the base frames. These are available for example with a chrome finish or with a black or white coating. The four-star and five-star swivel bases are made from cast aluminium. This material is sturdy, lightweight and does not rust. The bases are available with different surfaces, such as polished aluminium, chrome, brilliant silver and black or white-coated.

HIGH QUALITY AND VARIETY
The mesh backrest version includes a choice of nine mesh colours. The seat cover is available in a choice of 15 fabrics, plus one leather version, in a range of colours. The upholstered version offers a choice of 12 fabric collections in a range of colours for the seat and backrest. Available with either a black or white frame, the chairs can be visually adapted to suit any environment.

The BUDDY design is fresh and functional. There's nothing superfluous on a chair like this – each element serves a structural, ergonomic or tactile purpose. In designing this collection, the design team wanted to build maximum comfort into each component while creating visually coherent structures. The aesthetic diversity offered by the various BUDDY models make this collection ideal for a wide range of applications and cultural preferences.
Sustainability
WE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY
Like all Interstuhl products, the BUDDY is consistently designed for sustainability. That doesn't just include a long service life – the ability to return products after use also plays an important role. After all, 98 % of the materials can be reused after the office chair has reached the end of its useful life. In addition, the BUDDY has received many environmental seals and certificates.
